Parks & Recreation Committee
The Parks and Recreation Committee assists in the reviewing a recommending policy’s relating to Parks and Recreation facilities and operations. Participate in Parks events and assist in promoting Parks facility, events and programs. Review and update the City of Charlotte Parks Master Plan. Serves in an advisory capacity in matters regarding parks and recreation.
1st Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m.

Please see current members below for all upcoming term expiration/vacancy dates. Only applications submitted up to one year to a vacancy date will be considered. The Mayor will only contact applicants when considering them for specific appointments.
The committee shall consist of five members who shall be representative of mayor interests as they exist for Parks and Recreation.
- Considers and makes recommendations to the City in all matters regarding Parks and Recreations
- Prepare and recommend a comprehensive Parks and Recreation 5 year Plan to the City Council
